Snow!

It only takes a few flakes to send Cole and Adrienne flying out the door. They had a great time playing in the snow they have waited for all winter.

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a fun Valentine's day of special snacks, cards, and lots of love.

Jeremy: You are the love of my life and I am thankful for the amazing life we live together.

Cole:  I love how you see the good in everyone and all circumstances.

Adrienne: I love your sweet spirit.

 

  1 Corinthians 13:4-7  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

 

The Mailbox

Last week while we were at the beach we went to visit the mailbox. Inside the mailbox is a notebook and pen for people to write whatever is on their mind. Some people are happy because life is going great and some feel like there is no where else to turn. It almost looks like a shrine with all of the shells at the base of it that people have left.  I wish I would have taken a better picture of it but I was too busy explaining to the kids that you should not take anything away from the mailbox because people left things there for a reason.

I have thought about the mailbox a lot this week and what a special little place it is tucked away all by itself on the very northern tip of Wrightsville Beach.  Maybe next time I will even leave a note or a shell.

Beach Fun

Wednesday night we headed east with our good friends Jeanne, Leah, and TJ. We got to the beach just in time for the kids to enjoy the pool a little before bed. Thursday was a warm 73 degrees and the kids call that swimsuit weather. All day they splashed around in the water, searched for shells, and built awesome sandcastles...well they were more like mounds but they were castles in their minds.

One of the highlights of the trip I have no pictures of we made a Krispy Kreme "hot now" run. I forgot how good a hot doughnut is!

We all had a great trip and couldn't wait to tell Daddy all about it when we got home. Cole and Adrienne are already planning next time...

Groundhog Day 2012

Here is just a little peek at what we did this week. I have many more pictures to share but  I can honestly say I have never spent Groundhog Day doing this....

 I love that the only footprints in the picture belong to Cole, Adrienne, TJ, and Leah!
