Random

The girl at Harris Teeter today dropped ALL my coupons before she scanned them. After I left the store I realized she missed one $2 off coupon. I am bitter!

I love strawberry season!

I am tired! My busy schedule has finally got the best of me.

Last night my Sparks kids were CRAZY and that was before we gave them cupcakes! They are a great group and I can't believe we are at the end of the year.

I am a little addicted to making smoothies in my Vitamix!

I was crazy enough to tell Adrienne that an American Girl Doll store is opening in Washington D.C. I bet you can guess where she wants to go for her birthday.

We listen to old VBS music all the time....even when there are no kids in the car.

The NC homeschool conference is in May and it is like Christmas for me!!

There is nothing better than sitting on the screened porch during a spring rain.

This year I will be the mom of a 10 year old. 10!!!! That makes me so sad.

Adrienne prays every single day for a baby brother. Not sure about that one.

I wish I could be the "social butterfly" that Cole is!

I think it may be time to stop ignoring the screaming I hear downstairs and go see what my kids are up to!

Easter Fun

We had a lot of Easter fun that I did not get pictures of Good Friday service, Drive thru Easter Story at a church in Cary, and of course lots of food.

Here are the things we did that I got a few pictures of.

Painting Eggs

Checking out the loot.

While hunting for eggs Adrienne got all the ones on the porch while April and Cole ran around the yard.

Hunting for eggs.

Lots of eggs behind Cole if he would just turn around.

A Great Day

Adrienne woke up this morning jumped in bed with me and said "Mommy today is going to be a great day" and so far it has been. Believe it or not her reason for the "great day" was that she had an appointment at Duke today and got to see Dr. Benjamin. She may be the only child around that can't wait to go see her endocrinologist.

A lot of times when we leave these appointments I feel so defeated. Even though I feel we have worked so hard to keep Adrienne's blood sugar under control most times we just miss the mark. This time we reached the goal!!! Her A1C was exactly what the goal is for her. Does that mean we have no more work to do? Of course not but I do feel two and a half years later we are finally getting a little better at controlling her diabetes. Does that mean when we go back in June that we will hit the goal again? Probably not because diabetes can be such an unpredictable disease.

Today we celebrate Adrienne's great day!

Fort Macon

On the second day of our camping trip we visited the Aquarium, Maritime Museum, Sanitary for lunch and then Fort Macon. It was cold and rainy but we still had a good time.
