VBS 2012

Our favorite week of the summer is VBS week. We had such a fun week and made a lot of new friends. I love seeing all the new faces that come to VBS each year.

Cole and Adrienne are already asking about next year...

Our Little Ballerina

This weekend Carolina Dance Center had their annual recital and Adrienne was in the Sunday evening show. Adrienne was thrilled when we found out before Christmas that they would be doing Sleeping Beauty and she was even more excited when she found out she would be a fairy.  It has been such a fun year watching my little girl becoming a little ballerina.

Piano Recital

We have been so busy for the last few weeks that I am way behind on blogging what is going on with us. A couple of weeks ago Cole and Adrienne had their piano recital. I am so proud of how far they have come this year.

For his group piece Cole played Three Wise Monkeys and for his solo piece he played Sunshine Yellow. Cole LOVES piano and if he sees one he has to play it. He could practice for hours and not get bored with it. If only I could get him to practice what he needs to practice and not just what he wants to practice.

Adrienne played Fruit Vendor for her group piece and Part of Your World for her solo. A couple of months ago Adrienne finally "got it" she started practicing more and was playing really well. I am so proud of her for working so hard on her solo piece. It wasn't looking good two weeks before recital and then out of the blue she started playing with a lot more confidence.

The Amazing Grace Race

This year the kids Spring Musical was The Amazing Grace Race. We were able to join with Braggtown Baptist Church so the kids were able to perform once at each church. All the kids did such a great job and it was so fun to watch them. Adrienne LOVES choir but prefers to stay in the background. Cole on the other hand LOVES being on the stage. I am so proud of both of them getting up on the stage and singing their hearts out.

Today Cole has listened to the CDs from the last two spring musicals The Net and Land of the Giants. Gotta love how that boy is always ready to sing!!

Happy Birthday Adrienne!!

Today Adrienne turns 8 and I am still in shock that my baby could be this old.  I am trying to make her stay little but she insists on growing up on me. I am lucky to be the Mom of this little girl.

She is so sweet.

She is so sensitive

She is very opinionated.

She loves all animals.

She loves to dance.

She thinks her Daddy is the best thing ever.

She loves her brother as long as he plays by her rules.

She needs one on one time with Mommy.

She is just like her Daddy in so many ways but my favorite is how she must learn how things work. She will not take "because" for an answer.
