Surgery Day

Adrienne had to have surgery to remove a bump from her face. We first noticed it in April and it was just a dot.  As time went on it had got much bigger and would get even bigger when she was running.

The night before surgery

Almost time to start. I am so glad she was still smiling at this point and of course she was not going to go without Rufus by her side. She did great until they put in the IV and she got extremely nauseated. The anesthesiologist had nausea medicine in his hand ready to put in the IV so that only lasted a minute. When it was time to take her into surgery she told us bye and had no fear.

From the time they wheeled her away from us until they came and got us to come see her was only an hour. This is when she had been awake for about fifteen minutes and she was talking all kind of craziness. It was so hard not to laugh at all she was saying to us.

This is Adrienne about nine hours after surgery. She was still looking at little sleepy but was playing and eating fine.

The pathology report came back and it was a hemangimoa which was one of four things we were told it could be. Long story short it is not dangerous and should not come back.

I am so proud of Adrienne and how brave she was. We are all so glad it is finally over.
