Surprise Trip

Last weekend we surprised Cole and Adrienne with a quick trip to Florida. I still can not believe I was able to keep it a secret. I never realized how much the kids help me pack for trips until I did not have their help. Thursday morning when we woke them up the truck was packed and all they had to do was get in. When they got in the truck they were so confused with all the stuff in the back. We let them guess for a few minutes before we told them and they were beyond excited!!

While we were there we went to Universal, Islands of Adventure, and Magic Kingdom. I am still going through all of our pictures but here is a little peak at some of the characters we met on our first day at Islands of Adventure.

New Fantasyland

While we were in Magic Kingdom on Sunday we came across this sign!

Adrienne loved walking around seeing all the new things they have added. The new restaurants are not open but we were able to walk in and see them. We were also able to see Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. He was leaving but saw Adrienne and called her over for a picture.

We had talked to some ladies in line for a ride that told us they had opened the new ride Ariel's Undersea Adventure but it stopped running before they could get on it. As we were walking around the New Fantasyland I heard a Disney employee tell a lady they were going to open the ride very soon. I look around and there are at least a hundred people standing around waiting to get on the Ariel ride. I hate to disappoint Adrienne but there is no way I am getting in that mob of people. Wouldn't you know right about that time a lady screams out "We need to make a line right here" of course we are standing inches from where she wants the line to start. We were able to scoot right over into the line and were one of the first thirty people on the ride. When we came out of the ride the wait was an hour so Adrienne was a very lucky girl because there is no way I would have waited that long for that ride when all the other rides in the park had waits of no more than twenty minutes.

New Fantasyland brought a huge smile to the face of this little girl. For the rest of the day she talked about how lucky she was to see Gaston and to ride the Ariel ride.
