Horseback Riding
Today Adrienne's Girl Scout troop took a trip to Dead Broke Farm for horseback riding. They rode on the trails for one hour and I think that may have been the best hour of Adrienne's life. Listening to her stories it seems her horse "Rose" was a bit of a stubborn girl. It obviously did not bother Adrienne too much because he has already said she would like to go back.
Everything is more fun with a special friend.
Almost ready to head out on the trail.
And she is off.....but not looking very confident.
Rose decided she needed a snack before leaving.
I got a little nervous because Rose was moving fast and Adrienne wasn't looking very steady.

Proof
I never did get around to finishing the vacation rundown but here is the proof that I actually went on this vacation! A few years ago we went to Disney and when we got home I realized that there were no pictures of me. So on the last day of this vacation on the way out of Sea World I stopped and let Cole take my picture!

Legoland
Day three of our vacation was spent at Legoland. We were able to do everything except walk through Cypress Gardens (which I hear is beautiful) but I still feel like we could have used another day here. There are so many little details that are easy to miss so this is a park you need to slow down and take it all in.
Legoland was fun for all of us. Cole and Adrienne have already made Jeremy promise to take them back next year. He said yes so we shall see about that one......
Cole taking a nap with the man on the bench. Notice the hole in his sock?
Adrienne stopping to pose for a picture while Cole could not get into Lego Kingdom fast enough.
I forgot to tell them before they got on the roller coaster not to look down!!!
They loved looking at all the legos in Miniland USA but those clouds don't look so good!
They were able to build their own cars and race them down different kinds of tracks.
They had a great time together pulling themselves up but Adrienne hated the drop at the end.
The Waveracers were the favorite ride of the whole trip!
They both got their license at Ford Driving School.
Adrienne told me after this ride that she wished she had the camera because there were so many animals she wanted pictures of.

Sea World
Day two of our vacation was spent at Sea World. I woke up to watch the sunrise at the beach and it was beautiful. I was worried that this would be the best part of my day because the weather forecast was 2-4 inches of rain and possible tornadoes. We were still working on the back up plan because there was no way we would stay at Sea World in that kind of weather.
After a short drive to Orlando we checked in the hotel and took of to the park. All day long we checked the radar but the rained stayed away. We were able to ride all the rides, watch all the shows, and enjoy looking at all the sea creatures. The crowd was light which means Jeremy rode Manta about five times. He tried his best to get the kids on it but there was no way. Cole promised "next time" he would ride it.
I said the rain stayed away and it did until we were walking back to the hotel. Half way to the hotel the rain started to POUR but it only lasted for maybe five minutes. We laugh about it...now! We also know it was predicted to rain like that all day so I am not complaining.
We ended the day with a trip to Flipper's Pizzeria right outside of Sea World. It was embarrassing how much pizza my kids ate. It was another great restaurant I am sure we will go back to.

Ormond Beach
Last week we headed south for a fun vacation.
Our first day of vacation was spent at Ormond Beach. The beach was beautiful, the waves were huge, and a pool that was 8ft deep thrilled Cole and Adrienne. All day we were waiting for the rain to roll in but it never did so we were able to enjoy the whole day at the beach and pool.
We ended our day with a trip to Aunt Catfish's in Port Orange. YUM!! Cole thought it was cool to eat shark and Adrienne was happy every plate came with a cinnamon roll. The kids are already planning next time we go back....
The kids were bummed to only spend one day at the beach! I loved Ormond Beach and we will definitely be back.
